His appointment reflects KR8’s continued investment in its London offering, alongside its established Restructuring and Real Estate teams, providing clients with integrated, hands-on support across complex and evolving situations.
Harris brings over 20 years of experience supporting businesses through periods of rapid change, underperformance and financial distress. He has advised a broad range of stakeholders including secured lenders, shareholders, boards of directors and pension schemes, helping them navigate complex restructuring and turnaround scenarios.
His expertise spans early-stage stress through to highly distressed situations and includes undertaking independent business reviews (IBRs), cashflow forecasting and the assessment of strategic turnaround options. Harris has also led complex inter-creditor negotiations, debt refinancing processes and equity raises, including transactions delivered through Accelerated M&A processes.
Prior to joining KR8, Harris spent 15 years at a Big Four accountancy firm before moving into senior leadership roles within UK mid-tier accountancy firms, where he built and led restructuring teams. Most recently, he served as national head of a restructuring advisory practice.
He also brings valuable national and international and banking experience, having completed secondments with HSBC’s Large Corporate Restructuring team and also with First Bank of Nigeria (FBN). During his time at FBN, he acted as Head of Workout, overseeing the bank’s non-performing loan portfolio in the UK.
Harris has worked across a wide range of sectors, with particular expertise in distressed infrastructure (PFI/PPP), hospitality and leisure, construction, engineering and manufacturing, as well as pharmaceutical, health and life sciences businesses.
