government advisory

Like trading businesses, state governments and local authorities face numerous structural, financial, organisational and operational challenges.

Pressure on budgets, constant striving for efficiencies and the ever-changing political landscape mean government departments need to be more agile and leaner than ever. Furthermore, the need to balance financial risk, regulatory requirements, legal implications and wider social and political objectives is often critical.

In addition to internal organisations, government and local authorities also hold investments in external entities, often with complex competing stakeholder networks, heightened financial risks and elevated levels of media and public scrutiny.

Governments must strive for optimal performance and returns on taxpayer investment, whilst also balancing the risks of failure, ethical and legal considerations and reputational risk.

The need to understand alternative options and to contingency plan is paramount. Where change is required, this must be planned with vigour and implemented with precision. This is where our Government Advisory team can assist.

With deep expertise, we can help governments and local authorities navigate challenging situations, ensuring a thorough analysis of options and stakeholder engagement, as well as providing execution support.
