Richard is Managing Director and lead of our national Special Situations M&A practice. Richard brings over 20 years’ experience in restructuring and private equity, specialising in capital and debt advisory, performance improvement and working capital optimisation.

He began his career at KPMG, where he spent 11 years in the Restructuring team, including a secondment with Barclays Bank’s Business Support unit. He later joined Endless LLP, becoming a Partner in 2021 and leading investments from the £100m Enact Fund III.

Richard has extensive expertise across food manufacturing, consumer, distribution, and industrial engineering and has held numerous Boards roles in these sectors. As a private equity investor, he has direct experience of creating and driving value creation strategies in both stressed and non-stressed scenarios.

Annika specialises in real estate valuation, restructuring and turnaround advisory.  

With over 20 years of experience, Annika has worked across a wide range of real estate asset classes and sectors, predominantly on behalf of the main UK financial institutions, secured lenders, funds and key stakeholders throughout the UK.   

Annika is a trusted adviser with extensive experience of super prime high-end residential property and residential buy-to-let portfolios, as well as development projects and complex assets.  

Annika is a chartered surveyor, fellow of Nara, the Association for Property and Fixed Charge Receivers, and a RICS Registered Property Receiver as well as an Assessor for Nara.

Before joining KR8, David spent 15 years at Kroll, initially running the Advisory division and latterly as UK Head, managing over 180 professionals nationally. He also served on the Global Restructuring leadership team.  

David primarily focuses on turnaround and solvent solutions for businesses, focusing on business reviews, pre-lend reviews, strategic options analysis, financial modelling, debt advisory and special situations M&A.

With over 18 years of experience, James has worked across a broad range of real estate asset classes and sectors. He is a trusted adviser with extensive experience of development projects and complex assets.  

James has undertaken project work for various stakeholders encompassing strategic valuation, capital markets and asset management guidance in respect of single high-profile assets to large portfolios.  

He is a RICS Registered Property Receiver and RICS Registered Valuer.

Jimmy has over 20 years of experience in turnaround advisory and formal corporate restructuring.

His responsibilities include advising lenders, directors and other stakeholders on turnaround options, including IBRs, cashflow support, refinancing and fundraising through to AMA and M&A transactions.

He has advised creditors on Restructuring Plans, led cross-border assignments, advised AIM listed businesses and has overseen the investigation of various contentious matters.
Jimmy is also engaged to provide contingency planning and to take insolvency appointments where required in his capacity as a licensed insolvency practitioner.

Joanne leads the Personal Insolvency practice at KR8 having worked in the restructuring industry for 35 years, and spent 25 of those specialising in personal insolvency.  

She has extensive experience advising debtors and creditors, striving to find effective solutions that benefit all stakeholders.  

A large part of Joanne’s time is spent identifying and recovering assets located in the UK and abroad as part of contentious bankruptcy appointments, working diligently in order to optimise returns.  

Joanne is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and Fellow of the Insolvency Practitioners Association.

Lauren is a Managing Director in the corporate restructuring practice based in London, but operating nationally.  Lauren has 18 years experience in a number of sectors, with particular focus on property restructuring.  

Lauren works with a number of alternative lenders in providing advice.  She has also undertaken project work for a number of lenders to strategically assess their property portfolios, including NPL loan books and part developed distressed assets. 

Prior to KR8 Advisory, Lauren was a senior director of a UK turnaround and advisory division of a global professional services firm.  

Lauren is an Insolvency Practitioner and holds a MSc in Real Estate Development and is working towards her RICS.

Before joining KR8, Martin spent eight years at Kroll growing and developing the UK Advisory practice, which he co-led, managing over 40 professionals nationally.   

Martin primarily focuses on independent business reviews, strategic options analysis, pre-lend reviews, debt advisory and special situations M&A. These core services involve extensive financial due diligence and providing hands-on support to management teams, and key stakeholders, in both growth and stressed scenarios.

He is a Chartered Certified Accountant and a licensed insolvency practitioner.

Lisa is an Associate Managing Director within the Advisory team, with over 13 years experience in the financial services sector. Lisa specialises in providing advisory services to a variety of businesses spanning a range of industries. Whilst predominantly supporting SME’s with their financial and strategic objectives, Lisa provides a comprehensive approach to securing the right solution for small companies and multi-entity businesses achieving £1bn+ turnover, alike.

Acknowledging Lisa’s expertise within the Advisory space, Lisa was a finalist in the 2022 Institute for Turnaround (IFT), Rising Star award and has since become an accredited member of the IFT. Lisa is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a qualified Tax Advisor, also holding a first-class degree in Economics.

Mark brings over 27 years of experience in formal corporate restructuring and turnaround advisory, working closely with clients and key stakeholders to maximise and preserve value.

As a senior director he has advised corporates, lenders and stakeholders in delivering market-leading rescue solutions across a range of sectors including automotive, manufacturing and engineering, and works closely with the asset-based lending community having spent nine months on secondment at a global asset-based lender.

Mark is a Chartered Certified Accountant and appointment-taking licensed insolvency practitioner having passed the Joint Insolvency Examination Board exams in 2009.

Mike Parsons has 20 years of experience advising UK corporates in all aspects of business turnaround and restructuring, as well as capital advisor services to lenders for both existing clients and new prospects. 

Mike has worked for a wide range of lenders including asset-based lenders, banks, secondary lenders and private equity funders, as well as directly for corporates and their stakeholders. In 2012, he completed a secondment to Royal Bank of Scotland’s restructuring team where he gained valuable experience managing distressed lending portfolios. 

Mike was chairman of the North West Regional Board of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) between 2017 and 2021, and was also a finalist in the 2017 TMA Young Turnaround Professional of the Year awards.  Mike is also an accredited member of the Institute for Turnaround (IFT).  Mike has a degree in history from the University of Manchester and is a fellow of the Institute for Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA).

Rob Halliday is an Associate Managing Director within Kr8’s advisory practice. Rob brings more than 13 years of specialist restructuring and corporate finance experience, focusing on special situations M&A, accelerated fundraising and financial advisory.​

Rob works closely with his clients and key stakeholders to maximise and preserve value during periods of business stress and distress and has significant experience working across the turnaround investor and asset based lending communities.​

Rob has worked with clients across a range of industries, including retail, consumer, travel and leisure, food and beverage, manufacturing, engineering and financial services delivering market leading rescue solutions to service client needs.​

Prior to joining KR8, Rob spent a combined 13 years with Kroll and Alvarez and Marsal’s advisory and restructuring practice where he served as Director. ​

Rob earned a bachelor’s degree in International Business from Loughborough University. He is also a qualified member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has completed the Joint Insolvency Examination Board.

Dave is a Chartered Building Surveyor and Associate Managing Director based in our Manchester office specialising in building surveying and project management.

With over 19 years experience Dave has a well-rounded knowledge of all building surveying disciplines and particular experience in project due diligence, dilapidations, development monitoring, party walls, boundary disputes, schedules of conditions and project management.

Previously Dave was the managing director of a multi disciplinary property consultants and has previously worked alongside several KR8 colleagues assisting in the recovery of distressed development projects.

Valuation, asset management and strategic disposal advice form the primary areas of Chris’s experience. Chris is a Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer and has experience valuing and advising across all real estate and asset classes for a variety of clients including banks, private equity firms, high net worth individuals, pension funds, developers and public sector bodies throughout the UK. 

Chris joined KR8 from a global consultancy firm and was previously at a national firm of Chartered Surveyors. Chris was seconded to a major property Lender in 2018 where he advised the Credit function on property specific issues.

Gordon joined KR8 from a global consultancy firm and was previously at a national firm of Chartered Surveyors where he spent seven years specialising in Receivership and Recoveries of assets nationwide. ​
